The New Rochelle Council of Community Services is pleased to announce the continuation of its annual scholarship, designed to assist a New Rochelle High School/Huguenot Academy student with limited resources to further his or her education, through either college, technical school, or vocational training. Scholarship funds can be utilized for applications, books, registration fees, or any acceptable educational expense.

Qualifications

  • Resident of New Rochelle

  • Junior at New Rochelle High School/Huguenot Academy

  • Letter of recommendation from a teacher, faculty member, school counselor, or principal

  • Involvement in community service

  • Financial need

  • Interested students are required to submit an original essay entitled “What This Award Would Mean
    to Me.”

The members of the Scholarship Committee of the New Rochelle Council of Community Services may interview the finalists. The award will be presented at the Junior Awards Ceremony, and celebrated (if possible) at the annual meeting of NRCCS.
